Kathryn E. Italia, MD was born and raised in Newark, Delaware where her parents still live. She went South to Virginia Tech for her undergraduate degree where she majored in history (still a love of hers!). She then returned to the Philadelphia area where she attended Jefferson Medical College. She completed her residency in pediatrics at AI duPont Hospital for Children/Thomas Jefferson University in June 2008. Kathryn loves to camp, hike, canoe, cook, and read in her free time. She and her husband, Mike, live in Downingtown with their daughter, Sophia.
