What they have told us so far:
- The vendor that supplies our electronic medical record software recently had a security incident involving its internal corporate network.
- This incident did not take place at All Star Pediatrics and our practice IT systems were not impacted.
- Our vendor’s internal corporate network is separate from the network for our electronic medical record.
- Our vendor had files compromised that were used for data conversion and troubleshooting.
- Our vendor immediately took steps to investigate the incident, stop the unauthorized person and to further safeguard its internal corporate network.
- If you receive an email from a person claiming to have information about you or your child, we strongly recommend that you not respond to the attacker and you forward any communications to discovery@officepracticum.com
- We have been told that if you do not receive a letter and you have no outreach from the hacker, the information of you and your child were likely not impacted.
Our vendor has established a call center so you can ask questions and learn more about the incident. The number for that call center is 855-532-0912.
